The Almond Festival has been around for 100 years and has attracted people from all over northern California, including the Bay Area. This is the time the community of Esparto comes together to celebrate the beautiful almond blossoms from the surrounding almond orchards. There are many activities, ranging from a car show, live music, arts and crafts, small business vendors and our very own country store at the church.
Movie in the Park
The summer "Movie in the Park" program is a wonderful time for the town to gather at Esparto Community Park and enjoy free movies. Families have fun spreading out big blankets on the lawn to enjoy a summer evening. It's a great way for the community to come together!
The Animal Blessing was a huge hit last year and a great way to celebrate the birthday of St. Francis Assisi and his love for animals, with Rev. Dr. Pamela Anderson personally blessing each animal. The celebration included finger painting two horses, snacks for humans, and live music. We hope to have an even bigger celebration next year!
Our annual Craft Fair takes place in November and leads into our Advent time in the church. We open the fair to vendors who would like to sell their arts and crafts. We also include fun arts and crafts activities for the whole family.
